President's Message

AIESEC has provided me with so many growth opportunities! I would not trade my involvement with AIESEC for anything! I met most of my friends through AIESEC and I have gained so many skills! People barely recognize me now from the shy girl I used to be when I first joined. Although I have been involved with AIESEC for three years now, this year is by far the best one! Being president is extremely challenging and time consuming but I have the best team anyone could ask for and I feel that we really are making a difference!

In addition to leading the executive team, I also manage the Board of Advisors (BOA). It is quite a different experience; however it’s so interesting to hear new perspectives. The BOA always comes up with ideas and feedback that we do not think of. That is why I believe it is essential to have regular meetings with our BOA members and consult them on different issues that AIESEC McGill is confronted with. The BOA brings a lot of resources in terms of experience, contacts and funding among many others. They also represent the views of the business community which are different from the ones of the McGill student body. The interaction with the BOA makes the entire Executive Board act a lot more professional and holds us accountable for our actions. We are very lucky that our BOA members are quite active and are always willing to provide us with the help we need.
